All throughout the episode Diving In, all the characters spoke of attending Jeff Preston's party. Declan McDonough decided to ask Lori and Josh had to work up the courage to ask a girl named Ashleigh Redmond.

Jeff appeared at the party, but only for a brief second where he greeted Declan and Lori and later speaking with Declan.
