Carol and her daughter went to the Tragers to complain about Kyle about how he broke into their house. Amanda tried to explain what really happened, but Carol wouldn't listen. Carol took Amanda home after realizing that they were staring at each other.

In The Lies That Bind, Amanda crashed her car after watching Kyle jump off a roof. Amanda tried to cover it up before her mother got home, but in the end, Kyle took the blame for it.

In Endgame, Charlie Tanner sat next to Carol during Amanda's confirmation, a fact that made Kyle uneasy knowing that Charlie was cheating on Amanda with Hillary.

Carol returns when a thief breaks into the Bloom house and she blames the intruder for stealing Amanda's bracelet, which is a Bloom family heirloom and was the last thing Amanda's father gave to her before he died. It was later found out that Carol had pawned it. Kyle manages to get the bracelet back while trying not to let Amanda know it was her mother's fault. Amanda eventually finds out and both her and Carol are grateful and she begins to see Kyle in a new light.After returning from his failed attempt to rescue Jessi, Kyle goes to say goodbye to Amanda only to learn from Carol that her flight to leave for New York was early and she is already gone.

Carol later watched Kyle seemingly levitate in his backyard and told three of her friends who came over to see if he really could do it. Kyle managed to convince her and her friends that he was actually standing on a sprinkler, giving the illusion of levitation.

Carol was angered with her daughter Amanda returned for her birthday saying she wanted to drop out of the music conservatory. She put Amanda on lockdown and continuously thwarted Kyle's attempts to contact her until Kyle's big plan went over her head and Amanda successfully snuck out with Josh Trager wearing a blond wig in Amanda's bed to fool Carol. Jessi later tipped Carol off about the date at The Rack due to her jealously of Amanda. Carol drove Amanda to the airport, but she didn't board her flight and ran to hide in Kyle's room.
